Rosewood Property Company Acquires New Storage Facility in Carmel, Indiana

DALLAS -- May 24, 2017 -- Rosewood Property Company announced today it has acquired the StorAmerica Storage & Wine Cellar project located in Carmel, Indiana.

The project, located at 4420 E 146th Street in Carmel, contains 89,841 rentable square feet and 846 storage units, approximately 63 percent of which are climate controlled. The facility also features a temperature controlled wine cellar and a conference center for use by the customers and community.

"This facility adds an important project to our expanding presence in the self-storage sector,” said Bill Flaherty, president of Rosewood Property. “The facility, which was recently expanded, was locally owned and managed, is well located, and is performing well. We continue to focus on additional acquisitions, in multiple markets, that would be a strategic fit within our portfolio.”

The project will be managed by Extra Space Storage and will be rebranded under the Extra Space Storage name.  MJ Partners represented the seller. Rosewood was represented internally.

This is Rosewood’s second self-storage acquisition in the Indianapolis market. In 2016, Rosewood acquired a 70,200-square-foot, 492-unit facility in Fishers, Indiana.

Rosewood Property Company currently owns a portfolio of 35 operating self-storage projects in 11 states totaling more than 2.5 million square feet and approximately 22,000 storage units. RPC is developing new multi-story storage projects in Dallas, Denver and Portland and remains focused on actively building its self-storage portfolio through acquisition and development.
